The Thermal Management Integrated System provides active cooling for satellite hosted instrumentation. This has wide applications for near to far infra-red remote sensing, high-energy radiation detection, and increased resilience of electrical systems in harsh radiation environments.These aspects lead to a wide range of potential applications for augmenting sensor performance by cooling an instrument with TheMIS, including: Earth observations, Space Situational Awareness, astronomical observations, and asteroid mineral prospecting via remote sensing.
