SpIRIT Technology – NAIGS

The numbers of satellites in planned constellations and their complexity is rapidly increasing, while the reaction times required for tasking and data acquisition are rapidly decreasing. Australia is in need of experience in both spacecraft and ground station operations to address this.
As part of the SpIRIT mission, the Nova Ground Station will demonstrate receiving operations requests, applying user priority levels, and making rapid, decisions about tasking of antennas and satellites according to known constraints of the systems in terms of health and availability.
